I often receive a large number of clips from various cameras, the latest is from an F55, .mxf format, and I need to take each of the clips and export every frame as a still and save those stills into their respective folders.
For instance, if I have clip01.mxf, my current workflow is to drag that clip to a new sequence. I then also create a new folder and use the name from that sequence to isolate each set of stills. I push the sequence to Media Encoder, select Render as JPG Sequence and chose that specific folder to save the clips – and every gets spit out.
This, while effective, becomes really tedious after the 4th or 5th sequence. Right now, I have about 30 to do, and I'm wondering if there is something magical that I've been missing.
E.g. can I drag the clips right into media encoder, and not only export them as JPG sequences but get it to create the folder based on the source name and separate everything for me. I think more annoying than anything is creating and pointing to each of these separate folders. Yea... maybe I'm just a tad lazy.
Thoughts are greatly appreciated!
