Re: Pie Charts in InDesign

They are relatively easy to make in ID. It is pretty much the same as using Illustrator.

Make two circles, center them. I color them differently just so I can see them.

Select both, use the Object menu, Pathfinder, Subtract. You will then have the outer ring.

Create a rectangle the width that you desire to create the segment separation.

Center it on the ring, like shown in the above screen shot.

Holding Alt/Option down, rotate the thin rectangle, let go and that will create a copy.

Once you get enough lines, create a compound path with them.

Select the outer ring and the rectangles that were made into a compound path.

Subtract again.

Release the compound path and each segment can be colored.
